The Humane Society of Davidson County NC is a passionate animal protection organization and animal rescue service. For over 40 years, we have been dedicated to ensuring the well-being of animals in our community. Our experienced team of animal lovers works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and find loving homes for animals in need. We also provide essential services such as pet food pantry, low-cost spay/neuter transport, and financial assistance for vet care expenses to support low-income pet owners in our community. A Kitten can get pregnant at 4 months old.
An average litter can be as many as 8 Kittens.
A cat can have up to 3 Litters a Year.
That's 1 Cat having 24 Kittens a Year.
Think about it, each one of those female kittens can start that cycle of 24 Kittens a year. So, if half of a litter of 8 are females, that's 96 Kittens per year, being born from that 1 Original Litter. Your monetary donations go a long way to help this over population.
